Cannes Lions 2018: Shortlists for Health & Wellness and Pharma categories released

The 2018 Cannes Lions Festival of Creativity kicked of today with this year’s first round of shortlists being released just minutes ago.

This year the Health & Wellness Lions received 1,482 entries, down from 2,245 entries submitted last year. The Pharma Lions received 376 entries, down from 590 last year.

Asia scored a total of 21 shortlists in the Health & Wellness Lions with Indian agencies leading the way with 11 entries that made the cut.

McCann Health New Delhi has 4 shortlists, DDB Mudra Mumbai has 3 and Grey Mumbai also has 3 shortlists.

Four agencies have 2 shortlists each – McCann Worldgroup Manila, ADK Tokyo, J Walter Thompson Bangkok and mcgarrybowen Shanghai.

J Walter Thompson India, Hakuhodo Tokyo and M&C Saatchi China each had 1 shortlist each.

In the Pharma Lions category TBWA\India was the top performer for Asia with 3 shortlists. McCann Health Shanghai also had 1 shortlist.

Representing Asia on the Health & Wellness Lions jury is Carol Ong, President of Bebebalm in China. On the Pharma jury from Asia is John Scott, creative director at Ward6 Singapore, and Lyndon Lewis, senior creative director at Havas Live Sorento India.
