BCA-UD-700x420.jpgThe Building and Construction Authority (BCA) has appointed Addiction Advertising as its integrated marketing communications agency for the conceptualisation and management of Project BUILD, a competition aimed at enhancing the appreciation for Universal Design (UD) in the built environment.

Project BUILD seeks to educate and promote greater awareness for UD among families and students. Participants will be invited to form groups to submit entries on their dream UD space using LEGO bricks. The Competition is expected to be launched in June, to coincide with the school holidays.

“One of the objectives of Project BUILD is to promote greater understanding of how an accessible built environment helps to build an inclusive society. We hope participants can share with us how their ideal UD world can bring them closer to their loved ones and the community. “said Ms Goh Siam Imm, Director of BCA’s Universal Design Department.

The contract includes an island-wide publicity campaign which is expected to run in the third-quarter of 2015 across multi-media platforms, including out-of-home, online and social.

Winning entries from the Competition will be showcased in an exhibition to be held in conjunction with SG50. Based on the theme ‘An Inclusive Home, An Inclusive Singapore’, the exhibition will be a reflection of the dreams and aspirations of Singaporeans on how their ideal inclusive Singapore built environment would be.
