The world’s leading social media experts will come together in Hong Kong on 14-15 October for the third annual Social Matters – Asia’s biggest digital marketing conference to critically examine the use of social media as a powerful business tool.

With two days of intensive learning, this year’s conference at Grand Hyatt Hong Kong will examine the Return on Investment (ROI) for brands in the competitive landscape of social media marketing. Speaker sessions and interactive workshops will focus on three major topics to evaluate the business value behind successful digital strategies: 1) content creation and distribution; 2) mobile marketing and 3) measuring ROI.

Some of the biggest successful brands in social media will share their best-practice insights and experiences on developing and delivering disruptive content marketing.

High profile speakers include: Brian Buckner – the writer and producer of Emmy award-winning mega shows Friends and True Blood; globally renowned Vine creator, Zach King; Alex Light, Head of Content for VICE Australia and Ronita Mitra, SVP of Vodafone India with over 20% of India’s Facebook users as Vodafone fans. We will hear from brands and platforms such as Coca-Cola, Microsoft, KakaoTalk, Nissan, Sina Weibo…and more.

Social Matters 2014 promises to be bigger and better than last year’s event – which attracted over 900 attendees from across the region made up of 700 senior executive delegates and 250 key players in this space.

It is now an essential part of any successful marketing strategy for any business and their brands. This event will look to get under the skin of what it takes to design and execute high-impact social media campaigns and most importantly, how to evaluate its commercial success.” Crampton (pictured left) also reveals the secrets behind creating the perfect Vine.

Keynote speaker, Alex Light, Head of Content, VICE, will focus on what makes great social media content. Looking ahead of the conference, he said: “Developing branded content campaigns and content marketing strategies is different for each and every brand, particularly here in Asia. This conference will give people the chance to learn the very latest creative approaches to disruptive and viral digital marketing.”

Based on her in-house expertise, Ivy Wong, CEO, Viss, will address delegates on the role of e-commerce in mobile marketing. She said, “Both online and mobile present unique platforms for linking consumers with brands. For example, our ‘Shop the Look’ app enables consumers to interact, discover and shop easily, and presents opportunities for brands to engage customers and sell their products in new ways.”
