Singapore and India leads Cannes Press Lions with 36 and 30 shortlists respectively: Shortlist total for Asia is 124

Singapore and India have followed up their domination in the Outdoor Lions category with a similar performance in the Press Lions.
Singapore has an impressive total of 36 shortlists with DDB Singapore again leading the way with 14. Lowe (7), Leo Burnett (6) and Ogilvy & Mather (5) were also strong performers.
India’s total of 30 shortlists was lead by Mudra DDB with 10, closely followed by Leo Burnett (8) and Ogilvy & Mather (6).
China scored 17 shortlists, Hong Kong 15, Thailand 11, Malaysia 6, Philippines 5, Vietnam 3 and Indonesia 1.

So, tell us, what publication did Ogilvy’s Faber – Castel run again? You put the Easel up in the one and only Faber-Castel store in Singapore just days before the deadline so I wonder were your ad ran and what that media schedule looked like. Can’t wait to see it. Hopefully Cannes will sniff this out and smash it for what it really is. Poster or POS okay, but don’t continue the mockery of press advertising by awarding this stuff anymore. We all deserve better. And Yawn it isn’t for PR. That work is legit. Those shortlists should be proud of themselves. They are doing a real job at advertising. It is closer to the truth than what we are seeing around the shortlists in Poster/Press this year. With the current jury president it looks like another Lynx debacle on the way. Just think about it. We let this go on far too long my good friends and peers.

Real work, pah! It’s only total losers who even enter the PR Lions, for fuck’s sake. This year’s PR Lions shortlist has complete no-namers like Jung Von Matt, Colenso BBDO, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, R/GA New York, Whybin TBWA, and Scholz & Friends Berlin, none of whom could ever win a proper creative awar –
