Singapore CCAs finalise jury heads
The Singapore Creative Circle Awards has announced the lineup of jury heads this year. As Head of Jury, they will each lead a jury of creatives who will select the best works of the year from their respective category.
Heading the Advertising Jury is Ng Tian It, Chief Creative Officer, Lowe Singapore; Pann Lim, Creative Director of Kinetic Singapore is to head the Design Jury. Melvyn Lim, Creative Director of Ogilvy & Mather Singapore is the head of Interactive Jury and the Direct Mail & Promotions Jury will be headed by Steve Llewellyn, Executive Creative Director of Rocket X.
“Amongst them, they are always at the forefront of their fields andwhose works have won numerous accolades across disciplines. I lookforward to having them onboard, bringing with them a wealth ofexpertise that will serve us well in times of tough decisions,” saidValerie Cheng, Chairman of CCA 2010.
Together with the Creative Advisory Panel (CAP), the Heads of Jury did a review on the entry kit and introduced several changes:
Interactive: To better reflect the current components and dynamics ofthe digital sphere, the sub categories are refined and renamed. Onenotable change is the addition of a new sub category – “Odd andWonderful” that awards works that are unconventional, offbeat andprovide a fresh perspective in thought.
DM/Promo: Recognising the difference in discipline, Direct Mail andPromotional entries are judged with very different criteria this year. Thus they have been separated into two categories.
Titanium Gong: There will be the introduction of the Titanium Gong, equivalent to the overall Best of Show. This award recognises the bestwork that is media neutral and clearly stands out as the biggest idea.It is not an entered category but will be selected from across thedisciplines.
CCA 2010 is now open for entries. This year also marks the introductionof online entry submission. Entry forms can be completed online. Entrydeadline is 18 June 2010.

Is this some sort of April Fool prank? No wait, its May.
Next will be Lowe’s world, man…
I loved the fact that they hired a proper photographer to shoot the PR shot, complete with digital retouching dropping in the background sky, etc.
Rocket X? Who are they??? What have they done???
All the Jury Heads have impeccable credentials. It promises to be a good show.
Lol, 10.28 can you start to list these impeccable credentials on work they have done. Not work they have put their name to.
Steve recently joined Rocket X, so hopefully he’ll answer the question soon with some good work. In case it makes any difference, he used to work at Bates.
Yes, and we’ve seen the trouble Bates is in. If that makes any difference.
It’s been 2 years since Singapore agencies had a night for local bragging rights. It’s good to have the CCA back.
2.04, if you are suggesting that the Jury Heads have no integrity, do you have any proof to back that? Or are you just another sorry whinging tosser?
Guys, this is no Rocket science.
Another poor jury selection for what is without a shadow if a doubt the worst “awards” ceremony in Asia…maybe the world …boycott it
