Waldron departs ECD gig at M&C Saatchi NZ
M&CSaatchiNew Zealand has parted company with Todd Waldron, who has beenexecutive creative director of the agency since arriving from Asia thistime last year.
M&CSaatchi CEO Nick Baylis confirmed Waldron has gone but would make no further comment on his replacement at this stage.
Meanwhile, the agency has employed former BWM Sydney digital creative director Simon Smith as digital CD.
Before MC Saatchi, Waldron was a former BBH Asia Pacific creative director. Bornin the United States but resident in Asia for much of his life, Waldronhas created award-winning work for clients such as Levi’s, Axe (Lynx),McDonald’s and Reebok. Under his creative leadership, BBH Asia Pacificwas twice named Agency of the Year, in 2004 and 2006.

I just love that pixie-like impish smile of his.
He’s an amazing talent. Brilliant to work with and a great person too.
And he does smell of fresh laundry with a hint of lemon and lavender when he walks past your desk…a pure breath of fresh air.
If this proves one thing, it’s that new zealand isn’t asia.
That is M&C’s loss.
Todd is one of the the great quiet achievers. M&C’s loss will another’s gain in spades.
He has the confident walk of Jean Paul Belmondo and the smouldering sexuality of Vincent Cassel. And hes just a humble kid from Oklahoma.
