Subhash Pinnapola leaves TBWA Sri Lanka to launch his own creative agency, Storybook

Subhash Pinnapola.jpgTop Sri Lankan creative Subhash Pinnapola is leaving his Chief Creative Officer post at TBWA Sri Lanka to establish his own independent agency.

A veteran with 25 years of experience in the advertising field, Pinnapola is to launch Storybook, an independent creative company.

His career in Sri Lanka has seen Pinnapola work at O&M, JWT and LOWE before taking on the Executive Creative Director role at Leo Burnett and then the Chief Creative Officer post at TBWA.
"Storybook will be the first Sri Lankan independent creative agency of its kind. Our specialty is creating powerful stories that connect people with brands. We build brand stories as appropriate for people and culture. Storybook will turn the pages of a new chapter in Sri Lanka's advertising in this regard," said Pinnapola.
 
One of Sri Lanka's most celebrated creative leaders, Pinnapola has been consistently awarded at top international ad award shows such as Cannes, Spikes, Adfest, Appies, Adstars, AME, Epica, Midas, AWARD, Cristal, Sharks, Davey, Cresta and One Show. In 2017 TBWA Sri Lanka moved up to the #1 position as the most awarded local agency in the 2017 Campaign Brief Asia Creative Rankings.
 
Pinnapola said Storybook believes in feeling the breath and pulse of the client's business in order to delve into the consumer base and engage with them on a more human level.

"Storybook will act as the watchful eyes and the ever resourceful creative mind for our clients' businesses, always observing, analyzing and generating creative ideas to engage with consumers in the most effective way. We shoulder the responsibility of growing the client business and see it through to success," he added.
