Hero Maestro Edge.jpgFCB Ulka recently created a spot for Hero Motocorp’s exclusive men’s scooter – Hero Maestro Edge. The ad featuring Ranbir Kapoor, showcases the ‘stylish’ and ‘hatke’ personality of the Maestro Edge.

The film spins a tale of Ranbir and the adventures he embarks on with his Maestro Edge. Ranbir stops by his girlfriend’s house to pick her up, but to his surprise is greeted by her little brother instead. Unlike the usual kid next door, this young brother turns out to be a tough nut to crack. Ranbir asks him if he would grant him the permission to meet his sister in a funny yet sarcastic manner and the boy takes it quite seriously. From here on we see Ranbir trying to impress the boy and prove that he is in fact worthy of his sister. Ranbir reflects his personality onto his Maestro Edge and uses it to make his mark on the young, impressionable boy.

Hero Maestro Edge2.jpgHero Maestro Edge3.jpgAs Ranbir takes the young boy for a ride on his Maestro Edge, the features of the scooter are cleverly incorporated into the plot to evoke laughter and accentuate the cute chemistry between Ranbir and the young boy. When they return to the girlfriend’s house we see they’re now greeted by a jovial man who happens to be watering the plants. Upon probing the boy Ranbir realises that the man is the girlfriend’s father. Ranbir once again uses the Maestro Edge to impress the dad by offering him to take it for a ride.

The dad and son take off on the Maestro Edge and we realise that Ranbir is now finally left alone to spend time with his girlfriend, Priya.

Speaking on the occasion, Surjo Dutt, National Creative Director, FCB Ulka, said, “Our primary insight came from the inherent style and flair of the Maestro Edge. Moreover, we had the charismatic Ranbir Kapoor to help bring out the mischief, charm and distinct style of the scooter. Since he already is an embodiment of all these attributes, the communication of the film was rather easy to implement. Ranbir Kapoor’s hatke style coupled with the attributes of the bike truly helped tie the film together.”
