Asia scores nine finalists at the shortlist stage of the LIA Music & Sound category

PATEO.jpgLandmines.jpgLondon International Awards (LIA) has announced the shortlist for Music & Sound.

Asia has scored nine out of a total of 59 shortlisted entries in the medium.

Singapore leads with 5, followed by Japan with 3 and China with one shortlist.

McCann Worldwide Shanghai has been shortlisted for Pateo’s “The Amazing Pateo Navigator“. Tokyu Agency Tokyo scores three shortlists for their campaign for Van Houten Cocoa’s campaign “Mamametal Lazy Boy/Mamameta House Maid/Mamameta Coming Home Late“. Fuse Family Singapore is shortlisted for IKEA Malaysia “Get Cheras To IKEA Cheras“. Grey Group Singapore scores a shortlist for DCA Mine Action’s “Never Walk Alone” and TBWA\Singapore has three shortlists for their campaign for Magnum Photos Fund” Marilyn”, “The Beatles” and “Ché”.

The United States (15), United Kingdom (12) and Germany (7) are leading the way.

Factory Studios, London four entries shortlisted, whilst BBDO New York, MassiveMusic and TBWA\Singapore have picked up three nominations each.

Led by jury president Sander van Maarschalkerweerd of Sizzer Amsterdam, this year’s judging panel consisted of Sam Ashwell, Scott Cymbala, Peter Holcomb, Abby Sie, Rani Vaz and Brian Yessian.

Winners will be announced on 2nd November.
