Huge night for DDB DM9 JaymeSyfu Philippines at the New York Festival Awards with Smart Communications “TXTBKS” scoring 2 Grand Prize and 6 First Prize Awards

Volvo_Splits.jpgThe New York Festivals Awards presentation night concluded just moments ago at the New York Public Library in New York.

In total the New York Festivals this year awarded 1 Best of Show award; 14 Grand Prize awards; 70 First Prize awards; 104 Second Prize Awards; 226 Third Prize awards and 868 Finalists.

Forsman & Bodenfors Sweden’s Volvo Trucks “The Epic Split” featuring Jean Claude van Damme was awarded the Best of Show on the night. It also picked up two Grand Prize awards for the best of category and 4 First Prize Awards. Volvo Trucks was also named the New York Festivals 2014 Brand of the Year.

BBDO was awarded the 2014 Network of the Year award.

TXTBKS.jpgThe star of the show for Asia was DDB DM9 JaymeSyfu Philippines, whose Smart Communications “TXTBKS” campaign scored 2 Grand Prize Winners (in the Low Budget and Mobile categories) as well as 6 First Prize Awards (New York Festivals’ equivalent of Gold). It was a great performance from DDB DM9 JaymeSyfu and continues the great success of this already highly awarded campaign.

Other First Prize Winners from Asia were Dentsu Nagoya, Japan with 2 for Bell-net Obstetrics “Mother Book”; TBWA Malaysia for Organ Donor Drive “Live On”; McCann Philippines for the Philippine Cancer Society “Hold”; and Publicis Singapore for Crisis Relief “Liking Isn’t Helping”
