James Wong promoted to head of strategy for PHD Hong Kong to drive clients' businesses

In his new role, Wong will now be tasked with further elevating the agency's strategic product offering for its clients. His remit has also been expanded to provide strategic planning support to the Unilever team in PHD Taiwan, ensuring seamless cross-border learnings and best practices within the network.

Ever since joining PHD Hong Kong in early 2017, Wong (pictured left) has made a significant contribution to the agency's award-winning work, with the last year being the most successful to date for the agency at local and international awards shows. This has resulted in PHD being one of only two agencies in Hong Kong to be listed in the 2018 Gun Media 100. He has also advanced the agency's agenda on marketing technology, having secured partnerships with local tech start-ups, such as Well Being Digital 101, creators of state-of-the-art sensors for wearables; ORII, the world's first voice-powered smart ring; and chatbot developers, Rocketbot. A frequent contributor to the agency's ongoing thought leadership, Wong recently authored the first of PHD's flipbook series, The Voice of Conversation.
