Melvin Mangada named jury president of Creative Executive Jury for Asia Pacific Tambuli Awards

Melvin Mangada.jpgThe Asia Pacific Tambuli Awards has named Melvin Mangada, Partner & Chief Creative Officer at TBWA Santiago Mangada Puno, as the 2018 Jury President of the Creative Executive Jury.

The award show globally that honors brands that do good and do well, the APAC Tambuli Awards celebrates brands that show the seamless integration of creativity + human good + results. Case study entries must demonstrate how brands uplift society, create positive change, and correlate purpose with purchase.
The APAC Tambuli Awards is not an award on charity, advocacy, pro bono, or CSR advertising, even if those campaigns are welcome and encouraged to enter. The award, however, focuses on mainstream brand campaigns that celebrate humanity, inspire purpose, and deliver results.

Mangada commented, "The Tambuli Awards is a unique show that recognizes the role of brands in uplifting humanity. It celebrates the purpose of creativity, how it can bring positive change to our communities.

Creativity is not just good for our humanity but it's also good for business. More people are responding positively to brands that push forward meaningful human change. Brands must find their human purpose to matter more to people."

2017 Campaign Southeast Asia Creative of the Year Mangada has made a career of uplifting the image of Philippine creativity on the international stage, regularly judging at prestigious local and international award shows.

Under his leadership, TBWA\SMP is consistently among the most award-winning in the Philippines, setting local records for metal wins and recognition from shows such as Cannes Lions, Spikes Asia, D&AD, One Show, Gunn Report, AWARD, Webby, and LIA.  In 2016 alone, TBWA\SMP was named Philippine Agency of the Year 4 times - Clio Awards, Campaign Asia Pacific Agency of the Year, Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies (4A's) Agency of the Year, Adobo Design Awards Asia + D&AD, and the Kidlat Awards.

Locally, Mangada was named 2017's Creative of the Year by publication adobo Magazine and is recognized as he 4A's first Hall of Fame inductee, having guided his agency to a record-setting six 4A's Agency of the Year and seven Best in Creative nods.

In-house, Mangada's innovations within the agency include the introduction of How's Everything, the Philippines' first full-service production house within an advertising agency. Most recently, Mangada dissolved the creative department to democratize creativity, allowing anyone on the team to collaborate and create solutions.

Deadline for submission of entries is on March 28, 2018. The complete list of categories and entry form are available here. For inquiries, email
