The campaign tackles the fact that in remote Areas, illiteracy and traditional biases against vaccines mean Afghanistan has a vaccination completion rate of just 50%. Doctors face a lack of immunization history as parents do not maintain vaccination charts. To counter these traditional biases, McCann turned to another Afghan tradition. A bracelet, tied on infants to ward off evil forces, now also protects them from disease. The Immunity Charm comprises coloured beads, with each bead being code for a specific vaccine. On every vaccine, doctors add the corresponding bead to the bracelet.

Medulla Communications India won 2 Silver Lions both for the Indian Association of Palliative Care's "Last Laugh". F5 Shanghai was awarded a Silver Lion for Baidu's "Know you Again".

Pharma Jury President, June Laffey, Executive Creative Director, McCann Health, Australia & South East Asia, said, "In Pharma, we can create work that changes lives and we award the very best work in the world. The shortlist was formidable and there were lots of strong productive arguments in the jury room. Throughout the judging process we were mindful that the work we award reflects what is possible creatively and what can be possible in the future in this highly regulated space."

The Healthcare Agency of the Year was awarded to Area 23, New York; second to Medulla Communications, Mumbai; and third to McCann Health, New Delhi.
