Zaim, Kelvin T, Stephen Douglas, Carol Chon.jpgMalaysia and Singapore based production house Directors Think Tank has made three major new appointments. Director Kelvin T will be joined by new directors Carol Chon and Zaim.

DTT Regional GM Stephen Douglas (pictured inner right) said, “These three new appointments signal our continued growth and strategic expansion in the market. DTT’s recruitment policy is strictly the best talent combined with expertise and the right attitude. I am delighted to say all three appointments fit these criteria.

T (pictured inner left) has a 15-year career in advertising and production, from heading the AV department at Leo Burnett Malaysia to Creative Director of a TV Station in Vietnam. T’s overwhelming desire to create had brought him back to where he started, and inadvertently topping an illustrious career in advertising as a Film Director.

His passion for motorcycles and overland touring has seen him riding solo from Malaysia to Cambodia, racing the flats on Balok beach to riding the highest motor-able road pass at 5.359 M in the Himalayas!

Douglas added, “We are extremely ‘chuffed’ to have Kelvin on board, as he makes films that people really love,  whether they’re commercials, shorts, viral, branded content, whatever…  He’s got boundless potential that we can’t wait to explore”.

T has just completed three new ‘Hotlink’ spots for Leo Burnett Malaysia.

As a Film director Chon (pictured far right) is most passionate about story-telling and more recently comedy. As an idealist, Chon finds inspirations from nature, music and conversations from people she meets.  With a dream to tell beautiful stories from around the world through imagery (moving or still).

Chon commented, “I have worked with DTT on a ‘freelance’ basis over the last few years, when it came to jump the fence and join a team full-time.  DTT was the logical choice not only for the body of great work that has been produced over the years, but for the people that stand behind it.  It’s an atmosphere that fosters creativity and one that I look forward to contributing to for the next many years”.

Chon’s latest work is the new AIA campaign for Leo Burnett Malaysia.

Rosli (pictured far left) has built a solid reputation as an outstanding photographer over the last six years. He has been capturing stills for editorials, travel, concerts and billboard ads. Some of his clients have included MAS, Tunetalk, Sunway, MMA, Tourism Malaysia and music artists such as Little Mix and Bryan Adams.

“As a Film director he is passionate about story-telling, technology and culture. Zaim has also managed to gain and build a reputation as one of ‘stand out’ up-and-comers to watch thanks to his constant stream of unique, trendsetting and viral work that pushes boundaries and challenges convention”, said Douglas.

Rosli is currently working on a Sony project and has just completed a job for the highly regarded Japanese custom motorcycle company ‘Zero Bike Engineering’.

Douglas goes on to add, “There is a great creative DNA here at DTT and these latest signings are the next generation of film-makers that enhance an already ‘strong and diverse’ roster here at DTT that show’s our commitment to the market.  I am looking forward to announcing more additions and changes as DTT continues to grow in stature on the local, regional and international stage.
