Anomaly partners with Shanghai Village to create the Unreasonable Atelier experience

Continuing to develop its IP platform of The Unreasonable, Anomaly has partnered with the recently opened Shanghai Village to create the Unreasonable Atelier.

Founded in 2013, The Unreasonable is an Anomaly owned platform that showcases and supports those around the world who are creating progress. From entrepreneurs to inventors, mavericks to makers, the platform has featured over 50 people, and amassed over 50,000 followers on WeChat.

The Unreasonable Atelier is part of YiHAUS, an exciting cultural platform within the Village that selects the most important innovations emerging from the dynamic convergence of fashion, shopping, technology and travel. Through immersive experiences, YiHAUS makes the guests shopping more rewarding.

The Unreasonable present Zhang Zhoujie, a digital craftsman who is using the traditional tools of mass production to instead create highly individual and unique products. Specially for this installation, Zhang Zhoujie has created a digital design system that defies the conformist mindset inherent in traditional design. His algorithm allows the generation of a myriad of design possibilities. Armed with this powerful algorithm, anyone can therefore become a designer. The outcomes are no longer predictable, but defined by their uncertainty.
