Thierry Halbroth to lead creative department in ECD role at Publicis Worldwide Hong Kong

Thierry Halbroth.jpgThierry Halbroth is to take up the ECD reigns at Publicis Worldwide Hong Kong, effective January.

Halbroth (left) is formerly executive creative director of Commonwealth/McCann’s Bangkok cluster, McCann Worldgroup’s dedicated agency for General Motors’ Chevrolet. He left Commonwealth in July this year after 10 years with the McCann Group. He oversaw all creative and marketing output for major markets including Japan, Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesia. He was a member of McCann’s Chevrolet global executive leadership team where he participated in building global creative platforms for the automaker.

 

Prior to his Chevrolet role Halbroth was global executive creative director of McCann’s Cathay Pacific Central Team, based in Hong Kong. He led the dedicated group’s output for all Cathay Pacific’s communications for Hong Kong and 27 countries worldwide.

In addition to his creative brand leadership for Chevrolet and Cathay Pacific, Halbroth has led creative development for other major brands including British Airways, Qantas, Mandarin Oriental Hotels, ZUJI.com, eBay, Gucci, Dunhill, Marie Claire and Hyperion.

 

In addition to his creative leadership, Halbroth has dedicated considerable time to the advertising industry in Asia Pacific particularly to the development of the Asian Digital Marketing Association (ADMA) and the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents of Hong Kong (4As) where he has been chairman of its digital and interactive committee. He is also a regular lecturer at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
