CK Tan set to leave ECD role at BBDO Malaysia after 3 years to return to Ogilvy & Mather

CKTAN_pic.jpgOne of Malaysia’s top creative leaders has resigned and is set to return to his previous agency. Campaign Brief Asia hears that BBDO executive creative director CK Tan is leaving the agency and has signed on to return to Ogilvy & Mather Malaysia.

Tan took up the ECD role with BBDO Malaysia in 2013 and has been a major force on the international awards scene over the past three years there.

This year alone the agency has won awards at Cannes (including 1 Gold and 2 Silver Lions), D&AD, One Show, AdFest, Spikes Asia, and AdStars. BBDO dominated the local Malaysian Kancil Awards this year, picking up 14 Golds and the best of show award. Their success is set to continue in a large way with the results of the London International Awards announced this week.

He has previously worked at Ogilvy & Mather for seven years in both Kuala Lumpur and Hong Kong. Tan could not be contacted for comment however look for further news on his move and his replacement later this week.
