The ladies donned Carrie Hammer dresses, suits and perfectly tailored outfits that were specially handpicked to suit the different personalities and styles present.

The dress Christine wore is now named after her on the Carrie Hammer e-commerce site and aptly called….‘the Christine Ng’

Christine Ng 2.jpgAfter four successful seasons at New York Fashion Week, Carrie Hammer celebrated her first international fashion week show which took place last week in Xintiandi, Shanghai. The show featured ‘Role Models Not Runway Models’ – famous women leaders including CEOs, executives, influencers, and successful professionals based in China.

The Singapore born Ng is a veteran in the ad business and one of the founders of both the BBH China and BBH Singapore offices. She has received acclaim for her outstanding success as an advertising executive, was named one of Ad Age China’s Women to Watch 2013 and was even honoured on a Chinese postal stamp.

Ng joined the distinguished group of women on the fashion show that included: Liz Schimel, President of Conde Nast China, Peggy Fang Roe, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer, Asia Pacific at Marriott International, Vvivi Hu, Chief Strategy Officer at eBay Greater China and Amy Cai, Corporate Tax Partner at PwC China to name a few.

On her personal interest in fashion, Ng said, “Fashion changes across the four seasons. In the communications industry, we need to constantly evolve with society and market developments. We need to be at the forefront of understanding consumers’ mindsets and preferences. For me, fashion and work share the same platform”.

Hammer said on why she selected Ng as a ‘role model’ in her runway show, “We selected women who are creative leaders, who lead by positive example and inspire others. Christine is a woman at the top of her field and leads with ferocious creativity. She is the quintessential role model!”
