Hong Kong Cleanup uses DNA samples to put a face to litterbugs via O&M Hong Kong campaign

Littering and excess waste is an ongoing problem that needs to be faced, once and for all. Taking this statement literally, the Hong Kong Cleanup used DNA phenotyping to put a face to litterbugs.
The campaign can be seen around the city, warning people not to litter, at the risk of becoming the next face of the campaign. Agency: Ogilvy & Mather Hong Kong.

1/ The dna on a piece of litter does not necessarily belong to the litterer, which raises privacy and defamation issues – assuming this is real of course, which is not automatically a safe assumption with award-bait.
2/ The fact that even posters now need an explanatory video for award purposes is deeply depressing.
3/ This is a good application of a found idea for advertising – or advertising award – purposes. There is nothing wrong with that. Nice work.
