Cannes Young Lions roars 1,015,000 times against child abuse for Barnardos Australia

Team Bulgaria - Young Lions Gold.jpgStarting tomorrow the 2014 Cannes Young Lions winner begins its journey to 1 million guaranteed views, thanks to video distribution platform Virool.
 
The "Countermeasure" ad for leading child protection charity Barnardos Australia created by Bulgarian duo, Vladimir Gerasimov and Zhelez Atanasov from Noble Graphics/TBWA won first place taking home the Gold medal at the Cannes Young Lions International Festival of Creativity Film competition.

Team Australia - Young Lions Silver.jpgAs part of their win, video advertising company and Young Lions sponsor, Virool will now broadcast the ad across Youtube, guaranteeing 1 million views. Silver and Bronze winners Australia "Change Your Perspective" and Norway "First World Problems" will also receive an additional 10,000 and 5,000 views Team Norway - Young Lions Bronze.jpgon Youtube respectively.
 
Judged by a jury of industry professionals, 41 international teams of young advertising creatives were given 48 hours to film a 60-second commercial break the misconception that child abuse and neglect don't happen in first world countries like Australia.
 
Barnardos Australia brand and reputation manager Amy Lee-Hopkins presented to the teams and to the Cannes jury.

Says Lee-Hopkins: "This is such an incredible opportunity for Barnardos to spread our child protection message to more people and supporters, we are incredibly excited and grateful to Virool for showcasing this creative and thought-provoking ad from Bulgaria."

Barnardos has launched the website www.stopchildabuse.org.au to coincide with the Virool campaign, which showcases the winning three ads and will form a valuable tool for the charity to increase awareness and support and encourage public donations required to continue its vital programs.
