Grey Group Indonesia leads the way for Asia at the 2013 Cresta Awards with six shortlists

Cresta.jpgThe Cresta Awards, launched in 1993 by Creative Standards International to honor an absolute standard of creative excellence in advertising and marketing communications, have announced the finalists in its 21st annual worldwide competition.

A total of eleven Asian entries have made the finalist stage with Grey Group Indonesia leading the way with 6 shortlists fot Telkom Speedy Monitoring “Plumber” (Newspaper); Telkom Speedy Monitoring “Kids” (Newspaper); P&G Ambipur “Family’s Picnic” (Outdoor); P&G Ambipur “Just Married!” (Outdoor); P&G Ambipur “Mr. CEO” (Outdoor); and Kumon Calendar “Daily Fun Math” (Publication Design).

Havas Worldwide Singapore has two finalists for Chubb Video Surveillance Systems “Human Surveillance Cameras – General/Artist/Shiekh” (Magazine) and Carlsberg “Cars In Control”  (Ambient Media). Tohokushinsha Film Corporation in Tokyo has two finalists for Subaru Eyesight “minicar music player” (Online Film and Craft Online Film – Best Use of Music) and Grey Tokyo has 1 finalist for NPO Reflection Project “Cigarette Butts?!” (Ambient Media).

In Australia Alt.vfx, Brisbane has made the finalist round for “Seeing is Believing” for Foxtel; Havas Worldwide Sydney for “Fair Go Bro” for Virgin Mobile Australia; Host Sydney for “The Kiwi Skeptics” for Air New Zealand and McCann Melbourne for “Dumb Ways To Die” for Metro Trains.

McCann Erickson, New York scored the top of the short list with a total of thirteen finalists. BBDO Proximity, Berlin and Publicis Conseil received eleven finalists and BETC Euro RSCG, Paris and Forsman & Bodenfors, Gothenburg capturing ten finalists each. The Cresta Awards cover ELEVEN major competitions:  TV/Cinema/Online Film, Integrated Campaigns, Press, Outdoor, Ambient Media, Direct Marketing, Radio, Design, Promotions & Incentives, Crafts and Interactive. Work is judged on the basis of two criteria only: the originality of the creative idea and the quality of its execution. A Grand Prix will be awarded to the highest scoring entries that achieve a pre-determined standard (above a ‘set’ score).
