McCann Worldgroup Philippines asserts digital expertise at the 2012 Asian Leadership Awards

Bhatia2.jpgMcCann Worldgroup Philippines continues to assert digital authority with a string of successes and recognitions, most recently at the 2012 Asian Leadership Awards (ALA). McCann Worldgroup Chief Innovation Officer Donald Lim has been crowned the 2012 Digital Marketer of the Year for the agency’s innovation programs which successfully steered client brands and businesses to growth.

ALA is the only show in the region which recognizes leading business visionaries’ achievements and honors their contributions towards Asia’s economic development. The gala ceremony, held in Dubai’s Taj Palace Hotel, was attended by nearly 150 senior leaders and decision makers, together with bureaucrats from various countries and government officials.

Lim is driving McCann Worldgroup Philippines’ innovation programs with digital as a pivotal pillar. He is also Managing Director of the Agency’s digital discipline MRM. In one year, McCann’s digital push gained fruition- the agency won 4A’s Agency of the Year for Digital Excellence, the Gold Boomerang for the IMMAP (Internet & Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines), while marking unprecedented campaign successes for Coca-Cola “The OFW Project”, Bank of the Philippine Islands’ “Chris Lao: Binaha na Naman” and Nescafe’s Facebook page (the country’s number one Facebook brand page in terms of fan base and engagement).

MRM continues to set records as it rolls out cutting edge proprietary tools such as the Digital Brand Health- now being utilized within the McCann network, namely in Japan, Thailand, China, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan and Philippine offices. The group holds the distinction of having the most number of Google AdWords Professionals and leads in shaping the digital industry through senior level involvement in various organizations. Early this year, MRM launched the country’s first ever immersive digital mentorship program- the MRM Digital University.
