Campaign Brief Asia hears that David Mayo, President at Ogilvy & Mather Advertising Asia Pacific, will temporarily move to Indonesia as caretaker Technical Advisor (Country) at the network’s Jakarta office.
The move follows the resignation yesterday of Stephen Mangham (pictured left), who only stepped into the role in September this year.
Mangham was for the six years previously, Group Chairman at Ogilvy & Mather Singapore.

They chose a front shot because one from the rear would show the knife sticking out.
Good on ya!
Suck in the air of freedom!
And they cropped out the hands because there were 2 giant samurai swords in them.
Are you suggesting he wasn’t shafted? And if so, would you like to buy a bridge?
Sorry if I misinterpreted your message. I am trying desperately to see SOME meaningful content in it. It isn’t easy.
Ogilvy has a knack for messing people over, and not the crappy ones but the really good ones for that matter. It is a play of politics and power in that organization. Stephen’s departure is a huge loss to Ogilvy in much larger terms than just talent. They should think twice before they shaft someone that good and that intelligent – it is people like him that make or break an agency.
everyone at that level in ogilvy has blood on their hands, its just a matter of who has more. a senior manager who needs to cut costs and consolidate power is hardly gonna fire himself now is he? Hes gonna find someone to dump on.
In mangys case it seems hes started a public disagreement with Ogilvy’s version of his departure.
Who cares….they all deserve each other.
