This year marks the 10th year in its running, with Troy Lim, Creative Director and Jon Loke, Head of Art of Ogilvy & Mather Advertising Singapore chairing the Crowbar Awards 2010. Organised by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agents Singapore, the Crowbar Awards is a platform for students to showcase their best work and gain a foothold into the creative industry.

Providing testament to that is winner of the Best of Show at the Crowbars 2009 Awards Show last year, who made history by also winning both the Best of Interactive and Best of Design Awards – Lim Si Ping. She was promptly headhunted after her wins and is currently Junior Art Director at Tribal DDB.

Commenting on the perks of winning the show, she said, “Crowbar Awards 2010 is the milestone opportunity for all young creatives. It is the gateway to opening new doors for you and making the grass ahead greener than you’d think it could get.”

The Crowbar Awards also marks a friendly competition among the schools on the ranking table, which is based on an accumulative points system where points are given to each award won. Topping the ranking table last year is Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, followed by LASALLE College of the Arts and Nanyang Technological University. It’s anyone’s guess on who will lead the pack this year.

Entry submissions begin now. Entry deadline is 21 May 2010. Visit www.crowbar.com.sg for more information.
