Creatives get behind Art Directors Club of China

ADC_Of_China_Logo.jpgTen leading creatives in China have endorsed the newly set up Art Directors Club of China and have been appointed as global ambassadors of the ADC. The ADC is also attracting the interest and support of the international advertising community. Chuck Porter, co-Chairman of Crispin, Porter + Bogusky has been appointed as honorary ambassador and Katie Kempner, vice president and director of agency communications, Crispin Porter + Bogusky has been appointed as ambassador.

The new ambassadors are:

  •   Katie Kempner, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, vice president and director of agency communications
  •   Kelly Pon, BBH Shanghai, associate creative director

Based in Beijing, The Art Directors Club of China (ADC) fosterscreativity and sets new standards in media and advertising in GreaterChina. It also mentors young creative talents in China to develop theirown unique creative style whilst meeting international advertisingstandards.

The new ambassadors join Dan Mintz, founder and chief creative officerof DMG (Dynamic Marketing Group), Amir Kassaei, president of the ArtDirectors Club Germany and chief creative officer of DDB Group Germany,Michael Dee, chief creative officer of DDB China Group, Kevin Lee,executive creative director of Ogilvy & Mather Advertising, YangLiu, founder of Yang Liu Design and Doug Schiff, executive creativedirector of OgilvyOne, appointed in May this year.

 

Alexander Funk, general manager for ADC China, said: “This is a veryexciting time for creativity in China. It is fast becoming a meltingpot of creative geniuses from all over the world and our aim is toleverage this to mentor a new generation of Chinese creatives. We nowhave twelve network and independent agencies on board and this is setto rise as the community embraces our vision to raise the bar ofcreativity and make China the creative hub of the East.”

 

Chuck Porter, co-chairman of Crispin, Porter + Bogusky, said, “”Ihaven’t had an opportunity to see a lot of advertising being done inChina — I’m looking forward to the chance to see more.  What I havebeen enormously impressed with is some of the industrial and graphicdesign coming out of China.  I think it’s some of the most excitingwork being done anywhere.”
