Grand Effie goes to 'Whopper Freakout'

Crispin Porter+Bogusky Miami has won the Grand Effie Award for Burger King's "Whopper Freakout" at the 41st annual awards held last night. The Effies honour the most effective advertising of the year.
Carl Johnson, co-founder of Anomaly was the chairman of the board of directors of Effie Worldwide this year. He commented: "Burger King won the Grand Effie convincingly due to their boldness and creativity across multiple media platforms, delivering real cultural relevance and, above all, outstanding business results."

The idea behind the video was edited into many 30 second TV spots. It was also watched millions of times on Youtube. Millions in free publicity.
