Grand Effie goes to ‘Whopper Freakout’

Crispin Porter+Bogusky Miami has won theGrand Effie Award for Burger King’s “Whopper Freakout” at the 41st annual awards held last night. The Effies honour the most effectiveadvertising of the year.
Carl Johnson, co-founder of Anomaly was the chairman of the boardof directors of Effie Worldwide this year. He commented: “Burger King won the Grand Effie convincingly due to their boldnessand creativity across multiple media platforms, delivering realcultural relevance and, above all, outstanding business results.”

it looks it happened at just one outlet.
how did the rest of america get to witness this?
The idea behind the video was edited into many 30 second TV spots. It was also watched millions of times on Youtube. Millions in free publicity.
