Jill Smith.jpgIris has promoted Jill Smith from Business Director to Managing Director of Iris Shanghai. Smith has been responsible for building Iris Shanghai’s unique offering over the past year, creating a strong digitally savvy team and a growing portfolio of multinational and domestic clients. In her previous role as Business Director, Smith was responsible for opportunity assessment and client portfolio development of the Shanghai office.

Prior to her roles in Shanghai, Smith(pictured) held the role of client service head for Iris New York, leading the charge for clients such as Diageo, Reckitt Benckiser, Philips, Saks, COTY, CR7 and Otis. Whilst in New York Smith was a member of executive board, where she was responsible for agency growth and advancing capabilities for the market place.

Smith joined Iris with 10 years’ experience in the industry, having previously worked with start-ups, art agencies and some of the world’s best-known brands. Known for her unconventional marketing style, she combines a background in organisational transformation and creative strategy.

Iris Shanghai has benefited from a recent string of wins under Smith’s leadership – including ClubMed, Hackett, and Osram. The office is one of the fastest growing in the Iris network, with a team of ambitious individuals sporting a diverse range of talents. Iris Shanghai’s focus is predominantly on integration with a particular focus on retail innovation and digital.

Smith commented, “Iris Shanghai is poised to disrupt in 2019, we are moving as fast as the market and hungry for more!”

Luke Nathans, Regional CEO, APAC, Iris said, “Jill embodies everything that makes iris thrive – She is restless, hungry and relentless in her pursuit of taking the business and her Clients forward. I have no doubt that this next chapter of her career will be nothing but a success.”
