Veradis Vinyaratn.jpgThe Bangkok Art Directors’ Association, Thailand’s longest running creative competition of 34 years has announced Veradis Vinyaratn – Chief Creative Officer, TBWA\Thailand, as the 34th President of theAssociation.

B.A.D aims to create opportunities for which professionals in the industry can sharpen their skills and broaden their visions, while also promoting the creativity of the new generation.  It strives to strengthen the network support and relationship within the industry to raise Thailand’s advertising standard to be more competitive on the international level.

Vinyaratn (pictured)  said, “…majoring in Anthropology will make you a very good storyteller but a very poor provider” said my father almost 30 years ago. Since then, I’ve received a Master of Science in Economics and attempted a career with the Central Bank of Thailand. Eventually, I blew off course into a brave new world of advertising where I have remained for over 20 years weathering through Lintas, Lowe Worldwide, M&C Saatchi and TBWA where I now sit as a creative head.”

“I would say that it has been a long and adventurous journey picking up experience from such Masters as AIA, AIS, Bangkok Bank, Coke, Johnson & Johnson, L’Oreal, Mcdonald’s, Nissan, and Unilever.

“The journey has also been, somewhat, fruitful with awards and other things along the way. The latest achievement has been with McDonald’s, which has been winning in Cannes and other stages for 3 years now.

“However, what I’m most proud of is, though is that I didn’t pursue Anthropology, I still tell good stories but did not become such a poor provider… Dad.”
