UM Malaysia, Society and Ensemble Worldwide win 8 awards at the MDA’s all-new d Awards

Amit Sutha.jpgUniversal McCann (UM), Society and Ensemble Worldwide had a good showing at the Malaysian Digital Association’s (MDA) all-new d Awards.

 

UM came out tops with a gold for Best Use of Mobile with Unifi, TM, and two silvers – one for Best Use of Data with KFC, and another for Best Integrated campaign for work on Team Malaysia with TM. UM was also presented with the award for Digital Impact of the Year.

 

Amit Sutha, Managing Director of Universal McCann and Ensemble Worldwide (pictured) said, “These wins and being named digital agency of the year for Malaysia is a big deal for UM. Interestingly for me, this win is reflective of the evolution in the media advertising industry and how we’ve changed from being experts in ad placements to helping brands navigate the world of technology, data and digital.”

Society received a gold for Best Use of Data, and a silver for Best Use of Social Media, both for work on KFC. Stanley Clement, Managing Director of Society commented, “This has been a year of achievement for team KFC, and we look forward to continuing this wave through the quality of work that we deliver. Due credit also has to be given to our clients who are extremely supportive, and we couldn’t have done this without them.”

 

Ensemble pulled in a silver for Best Integrated Media, and bronze for Best Use of Video, both for the campaign on Refreshing Journeys at Shell Select. Amit commented, “Ensemble is a relatively new creative agency with a pretty disruptive philosophy around advertising innovation. Shell was one of our earliest clients and we are all in debt to the brand for showing faith in us even before we had any real market validation. Winning on the work done for Shell is always super special.”

 

The d Awards is organised by the Malaysian Digital Association to recognise and honor talents and brands that embrace and use digital technologies. It also celebrates innovation in the designing and execution of marketing digital campaigns that leads to a difference in the way consumers perceive and consume brands.
