Meryke Naude, who has held the role of Head of Art for Unilever Oral Care, has also been promoted to Creative Director, leading brands such as Closeup, Signal and Pepsodent.

Ang and Kee have been with MullenLowe Singapore for five years, and in their previous role as Creative Directors, both played a key part in securing global recognition for the agency and its work with Unilever. In 2017 both Ang and Kee led the agency’s award-winning work for Unilever brand Clear, winning MullenLowe Singapore a Gold Lion at Cannes for their Bullish Boss campaign which contributed to the agency being awarded the Singapore CCA Agency of the Year Gong for the second year in a row.

MullenLowe Singapore’s current Executive Creative Director, Erick Rosa will depart in April 2018 from MullenLowe Singapore after four years with the agency, and will relocate to Japan with his family for a new professional opportunity.

“Erick’s contribution to MullenLowe Singapore cannot be understated, and I wish him the very best as he relocates with his family to Japan.” commented Vincent Digonnet, CEO, MullenLowe Group APAC. “I’ve always been an enormous believer in promoting talent from within, and there are no three people more deserving of such recognition than Sheng Jin, Daniel and Meryke, who have been instrumental in establishing MullenLowe Singapore’s reputation as a world-class creative agency.”

“It is with huge sadness that I leave this truly amazing agency following such a successful year, gaining recognition for both the creative talent of MullenLowe and for Singapore, however I’m fully confident that I leave the team in the best possible shape with Daniel, Sheng Jin, and Meryke at the creative helm” said Rosa. “I’ve been enormously fortunate to have these three in my team. As such I cannot think of more talented and inspiring individuals to lead the agency forward into its future success.”

Commenting on his promotion, Sheng Jin Ang noted the significant growth the agency has seen since coming on board. “Having spent five years at MullenLowe Singapore, it’s been an exciting privilege to see the agency grow into a hub of inspiring creative talent that produces globally recognised work”, said Ang. “I look forward to stepping into a leadership role to continue building on this success.”

Daniel Kee commented on the importance that culture has played in MullenLowe Singapore’s success. “The success and recognition we achieved last year is a testament to the creative and inclusive culture that Erick fostered during his stewardship,” said Kee. “I look forward to working with Sheng Jin and Meryke to build upon this fantastic foundation to continue to deliver work that drives an unfair share of attention for our clients” he added.

Both Kee and Ang will report to Paul Soon, CEO MullenLowe Group Southeast Asia, while Naude will work under the leadership of the newly promoted Executive Creative Directors. All three roles are effective immediately.
