AD STARS 2017 logo.jpgThe Call for Entries to this year’s Ad Stars 2017 Awards Festival is open. It’s FREE to enter and the two overall Grand Prix winners will again win US$10,000 each. This year’s entry deadline is June 15th.

With more than 20,000 entries anticipated in 2017 from over 70 countries, Ad Stars is the biggest advertising awards show in Asia and the only festival with a US$10,000 cash prize for the two Grand Prix of the Year winners.

Established in 2008, Ad Stars will celebrate its 10th anniversary in Busan, South Korea, from 24th to 26th August. Ad Stars 2017 will commemorate this 10th birthday milestone with no less than five separate conferences and events coming together at the Busan Exhibition and Conference Centre.

This year’s Executive Jury heads are Anselmo Ramos, Founder and Chief Creative Officer at David, Miami, Buenos Aires and Sao Paulo; Helen Pak Chief Creative Officer at Grey Group Canada; and Suthisak Sucharittanonta, Chariman and Chief Creative Officer at BBDO Bangkok (pictured right).

Ad Stars has partnered with AFAA (Asian Federation of Advertising Associations), and will host the AFAA Forum as part of this year’s festival. The AFAA forum will delve into Asian advertising industry trends and issues and bring AdAsia and DigiAsia – two biannual AFAA events – to South Korea. During Ad Stars 2017, delegates from the AFAA will meet to discuss the future development strategy of the Asian advertising industry.

The Ad Stars 10th anniversary program will also explore trends in advertising and digital marketing related to the “fourth industrial revolution”, which has become a hot topic globally over the past year, while in Bexco’s public exhibition area, Ad Stars will celebrate the history of the festival over the past decade.

Says Eui Ja Lee, co-chair of the Ad Stars executive committee: “One of the big differences at Ad Stars is its openness. We welcome entries 365 days a year, online and offline, and it is free to enter Ad Stars – these are the two secrets to the festival’s growth. We continue to evolve, and our 10th anniversary program will be our biggest and bravest yet.”
