The Unreasonable.jpgAnomaly Shanghai has signed up a roster of new media partners to distribute its ongoing content franchise, The Unreasonable, across China.

Founded in 2013, The Unreasonable is an Anomaly owned platform that supports and promotes those that are creating progress across a wide range of industries and sectors, inspired by the infamous George Bernard Shaw quote that “The reasonable man adapts himself to the world: the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.”

As of today, the Anomaly platform has grown to encompass exhibitions and events, collaborations and content, and amassed an active community of followers on Wechat and Weibo. This latest partnership with LeTV, Kekeji and iWeekly make the quality content available to even more people.

LeTV, the smart television arm of LeEco, a leading global internet company founded by YT Jia in 2004, accounts for one out of every 3 TVs sold online in China today. Its platform is viewed by over 10 million daily visitors, who enjoy a content library that is unrivalled in depth and breadth. With the launch of featured channels in 2016, users now have access to even more creative content, not just TV shows and films. All of The Unreasonable episodes will be embedded across multiple categories including Documentary, Music, Food, Fashion, Fitness and more.

Launched in 2016, Kekejl is China’s first car network intelligent entertainment system. Through collaboration with different car service apps, Kekejl has launched the system in over 30,000 cars in China so far, and plans to cover 1.3 million cars in the first and second tier cities across China. Over 85% of the users of Kekejl are well-educated post 80s and 90s generation. The Unreasonable episodes will be available monthly at Kekejl platform.

iWeekly is one of China’s leading mainstream media apps, with over 13 millions downloads, and 600,000 daily active users. Popular among an high-income well-educated group who demand high quality content including news, finance, fashion, art, lifestyle, and more. The Unreasonable will launch an exclusive channel on iWeekly hosting the entire Unreasonable catalogue as well as latest episodes.

In previous episodes, The Unreasonable has featured people such as Shen Lihui, the founder of ModernSky, one of China’s most influential music empires; Shangguan Zhe, creator of SANKUANZ, one of China’s breakout fashion brands; and Liu Shuting, founder of the innovative mobile gym concept, SuperMonkey.

“With these new partners on board, we’re excited to able to bring the unreasonable spirit to even more people” said Richard Summers, Partner at Anomaly Shanghai. “because ultimately, we believe the more unreasonable people that are out there, the more progress there will be. And that’s good for all of us.”
