Ogilvy & Mather Japan creates new DAZN work to kick-off their coverage of the J.League

FOR YOU.jpgLive sport streaming service, DAZN, recently launched "For You", a campaign created by Ogilvy & Mather Japan, to kick-off the Japanese football J.League 2017.

The J.League was established in 1993 with a 100-year vision to build a richer sporting environment in Japan by nurturing a sporting culture rooted in community-based sports clubs, at the same time allowing young men and women to enjoy the sport.

From the teams, the players, the fans to the service provider, everyone has a part to play in fulfilling this vision.

FOR YOU2.jpgDAZN launched in Japan in August and is a game-changer in the market. Fans can watch the sports they love like never before: live or on-demand and on devices at home or on the go. And, for the first time ever all the games in J1, J2 and J3 will be played live to football fans across the nation, showcasing that DAZN is true to its mission of "Made for Fans".

This inspired Ogilvy & Mather to look for an idea that has that same element that all athletes and fans believe in. An idea that holds up a mirror to our target audience and shows that they are as committed and passionate about the sport as the players.

This 60s film is part of a wider campaign that includes print, poster and digital, to launched the latest season of the J.League in Japan. Promises to be even more dynamic, connected and exciting than ever.

Although created during the off-season of the league in Japan, the team managed to attract some of the brightest and upcoming stars to this production. And with Noah Conopask's combination of delicately executed visual effects and thoughtful directorial realism; intended to create a unique and memorable world populated with identifiably human characters. The result is a spot that boasts a bold visual style that is earnest and evocative. Complementing the storyline of a football truth between footballers and fans.
