Hakuhodo Kettle Tokyo launches the WOW Factory for Sony at South by Southwest Texas
Sony will take part in SXSW 2017 (South by Southwest), the world’s largest creative business conference and festival, to be held in mid-March in Austin, Texas.
At the “The WOW Factory”, Sony will introduce its latest prototypes incorporating cutting-edge technologies, as well as projects that are still in the development stage.
In this concept movie, created by Hakuhodo Kettle Tokyo, a mysterious symbol appears in the dream of a backpacking tourist in an Asian guesthouse. It involves him in an unexpected adventure. What was he actually looking for? At SXSW festival goers can actually experience the 4 unknown sensations that this backpacker encounters in the movie.
The concept behind “The WOW Factory” came from Hakuhodo Kettle CD Kentaro Kimura’s personal experiences as a 19 year old on a world round trip.
“It gave me a lot of unexpected adventure which changed my life. Backpack trip in young age often can change the whole life. That inspired me with this story,” said Kimura.
