BBDO Bangkok’s Suthisak Sucharittanonta joins Ad Stars 2017 as first executive judge

Ad Stars has named BBDO Bangkok Chairman and Chief Creative Officer, Suthisak Sucharittanonta as the first Executive Judge announcement for this year’s awards.

Ad Stars will celebrate its 10th anniversary during a three-day festival from August 24-26 in Busan, South Korea, culminating with the Ad Stars Awards gala on Saturday evening.

Sucharittanonta (pictured) is regarded as a pioneer of creative Thai advertising and is one of the most awarded creatives in Asia. He joined BBDO Bangkok in 1998 and then BBDO’s Worldwide Creative Committee in 2004, the same year he was honoured in the Bangkok Art Directors Association’s Hall of Fame.

“I’ve heard nothing but praise for Ad Stars as a friendly, passionate organisation that is committed to supporting creativity. Anyone can enter their work into Ad Stars regardless of how big or small their awards budget is, so I’m curious to see which agencies will be celebrated at Ad Stars 2017. It’s an honour to be invited,” says Sucharittanonta.

In 2003, Sucharittanonta made history by receiving Thailand’s first Cannes Film Gold Lion award. More than a decade later, he continues to make his mark at BBDO Bangkok, which has been named the #1 Creative Agency in Thailand for the past three consecutive years by the Gunn Report.

Ad Stars is now inviting agencies, creatives, production companies, students and advertising enthusiasts from all over the world to submit their entries to the 10th annual Ad Stars Awards before May 15, 2017.

With more than 20,000 entries anticipated in 2017 from over 70 countries, Ad Stars is the biggest advertising awards show in Asia and the only festival with a US$10,000 cash prize for Grand Prix of the Year winners.
