Leo Burnett China hires four new Group CDs – Jazzy Chan, Eric Sun, Kevin Wu and Kevin Zhu

Leo Burnett China GCDs.jpgLeo Burnett China has boosted the creative firepower of its Shanghai office with four new Group Creative Directors: Jazzy Chan (pictured far left), Eric Sun (left), Kevin Wu (right), and Kevin Zhu (far right).

Thanks to our recent business expansion, we’re happy to welcome four creative veterans on board. They will work closely with Victor Manggunio our Chief Creative Officer for Leo Burnett China, and our two Heads of Creative Rocky Hao and Takho Lau.”

At this moment, Zhu will be in charge of the creative work for LB client Pfizer. Wu will mostly focus on Huawei, Chan will be the creative head of LB’s P&G Whisper business, while Sun will take care of two major brands under the Uni-President label: Xiaomingtongxue (a beverage brand), and Soup Daren (a fast noodle brand).

 

“These four extremely capable senior creatives bring with plenty of trackable successful records, enabling us to provide an even higher level of creative quality to our clients,” Manggunio said.

 

Zhu believes creative work is all about “touching people”, to keep the brand’s image at the top of their minds to drive sales. Zhu has built up over 18 years of experience with McCann Erickson, TBWA, and LOWE, and gained digital marketing experience in an internet company and at Wunderman.

 

Wu has worked in leading agencies in Taiwan, Beijing and Shanghai over the past 18 years, and spent 8 years at Leo Burnett from 2006 – 2014 before returning ‘home’. He was also Group Creative Director of NIM Digital. Drawing on this digital experience, Wu will work with his team to build up effective and creative integrated communication solutions.

Chan has solid regional experience in creating communication solutions for the Asia market, as well as strong leadership and communication skills. She believes that it takes accurate strategic planning and charming ideas to create good advertising. From 1992 till 2014, Chan worked in Malaysian advertising agencies, before coming to Shanghai to join McCann-Erickson as Creative Director and now Leo Burnett.

 

With over one decade of advertising experience, Sun has a solid track record with plenty of blue-chip clients, varying from FMCG brands to automotive, and finance to skin-care products. He has a strong passion for advertising and says, “Advertising, is not about whether you love it or not, it’s about how much you love it, and how much you devote yourself to it.”
