Kit Ong leaves Y&R Vietnam to join independent agency The Purpose Group as partner

Kit Ong_2016.jpgIndependent Vietnamese agency The Purpose Group has lured Kit Ong to join the agency as a partner. Ong was previously chief creative officer at Y&R Vietnam and is tasked with the creative renaissance at the multi-disciplined advertising group for clients such as Samsung, Pepsi and Vinasoy.

Ong’s career spans over 25 years with creative leadership positions in agencies across Malaysia, China and Vietnam including Y&R Vietnam, Euro RSCG in Malaysia, and has previously held creative roles at Bates 141, Saatchi & Saatchi and Ogilvy & Mather. He has worked on accounts including Samsung, LG, Toyota, HSBC, Procter & Gamble, Colgate Palmolive, Coca-Cola, Vitaminwater, Fonterra, Guinness, Carlsberg, Lee Jeans and The North Face. In his five years in Vietnam, Ong has won metals at international and regional award shows.
