OTT White Paper.jpgDentsu Aegis Network China has released a white paper with deep dives into latest consumer and business insights as well as the hottest trends in today’s new age media landscape – Over-the-Top (OTT) content. The OTT white paper is the industry’s biggest report, and is jointly produced with leading OTT media powerhouses iQiyi, LeTV, MangoTV, Tencent, Youku and iPinyou, as well as research partners Miaozhen and Nielsen.

The launch event in Shanghai was attended by over 350 people including Dentsu Aegis Network management, senior clients, key media and industry influencers.

EVP Digital Development & Amplifi Global Media Partnership Head Meg Chen, project leader of the white paper, said, “With the revolution of the Internet, OTT goes beyond just appearing on the traditional television screen. According to industry estimation, 95 out of the 100 TV sets sold will be OTT at the end of 2016. It is a market with huge potential as OTT is well primed to become the next hot topic in Home Entertainment. Its content will be played on demand, with more interactive functions available such as E-commerce and programmatic buying.

“OTT will provide advertisers with more ad channels and better delivery of quality and tailor made content communication and interaction. It is a trend that all media owners, advertisers and agencies are trying to keep up with and with the launch of the white paper, we hope to provide a better understanding of this form of media,” Chen added.
