FBAWD_2.jpgThe first ever regional judging for the Facebook Awards took place on Tuesday at the company’s regional office in Singapore.

With an esteemed jury of industry leaders from throughout the region, including Ant Keogh (Clemenger BBDO Melbourne), Scott McClelland (BBH Asia Pacific), David Guerrero (BBDO Guerrero Manila) the full day of judging saw an impressive body of work from APAC.

Says Fergus O’Hare, Regional Director of Facebook Creative Shop, “The standard of work entered was incredibly high. The industry really is building some of its best work for mobile now, and this is work that has business results to back it up. It was great to see so much diverse creative thinking at this level”.

The top 20 Regional APAC FB Award results will be announced shortly, before they make their way to the final round of judging which will be carried out by the Global Creative Council.

Says Carrasco, Head of Creative Shop for Facebook ANZ: “There was some great work from ANZ, a few crackers in particular, ranging from simple big ideas well told in video, through to those more tailored to our platform features with sequential storytelling, and cross-platform executions. I’d love to see entries from Australia and New Zealand make it to the top”.
