BBDO Greater China hires Joshua Campbell as general manager for BBDO Live Shanghai

Joshua Campell.jpgBBDO Greater China has appointed Joshua Campbell as General Manager of BBDO Live Shanghai. Over the last 8 years BBDO Live has complemented BBDO’s advertising offering. Campbell (pictured) is charged with overseeing the continued evolution of a strategic, through-the-line agency offering. Bringing together PR, social media, experiential, design and creative services, to create complete premium branded experiences for clients and their customers.

Campbell has had a long career in PR, strategic planning and advertising. Having lived and worked in Greater China for more than 15 years, Joshua has held positions also covering South Korea, Singapore and India while based in Shanghai. Campbell most recently was Chief Strategy Director at BlueFocus Communications Shanghai, the largest, China-based PR, digital marketing and social media agency. Prior to that, Josh worked for a number of years at Ketchum, both in Taipei and Shanghai, where he was responsible for creating and directing the Greater China and Asia-Pacific learning and development program.

He is author of, “Know China Business: The Insider’s Guide to Doing Business Successfully in China,” an online book on doing business in China. His client service and strategic planning track record includes Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), Porsche, Coca-Cola, McDonald’s, Boeing, FedEx, Nestlé, BenQ, Jumeirah Group and Merrill Lynch, among others. A Mandarin speaker and University of Chicago graduate, Campbell majored in East Asian Languages & Civilizations, and continued his Chinese studies at National Taiwan Normal University in Taipei.
