GREYnJ United Thailand and Bar-B-Q Plaza create food for thought to reduce wastage

Bar-B-Q Plaza2.jpgWe’ve all eaten out. But have we ever considered how much food goes to waste due to our leftovers? Bar-B-Q Plaza, one of Thailand’s largest restaurant chain, wants their consumers to ‘make the most of their meals’. And they believe that this philosophy shouldn’t stop the moment we leave the restaurant, but when nothing is actually left behind.

BBQ Fulfill Dog Food.jpgTo fulfill their mission towards zero waste, Bar-B-Q Plaza is launching an integrated campaign, starting with an epic 3min TVC and Internet film and supported by various media. The campaign challenges consumers by asking ‘Are we really making the most of our meals?”.

As a first step to solve the food waste issue, Bar-B-Q Plaza partnered with PetPal to create the ‘BarBQ Fulfill Dog Food’. Food that has been made from fresh leftovers to guarantee 100% taste and 0% waste.

The dog food will be donated to dog charities and foundations, and also made available to Bar-B-Q Plaza’s consumers for free.

Consumers are encouraged to share their ideas on how we can all help reduce wastage on a dedicated microsite, as well as in-store.

After all, not everything belongs to trash.
