Mitchell Tan hired as head of Tribal Worldwide Hong Kong and head of digital DDB Group HK

Li, Ang, Tan, Krasser.jpgDDB Group Hong Kong has lured digital expert Mitchell Tan, formerly Managing Director of Havas Worldwide Hong Kong, to join the agency.

Tan (pictured second from right) will hold two roles as Head of Tribal Worldwide Hong Kong and Head of Digital, DDB Group Hong Kong. He is expected to advance the digital sophistication of the work developed for clients of DDB Group Hong Kong. He marks the first major senior hire in the region since the promotion of David Tang to CEO of DDB Asia.

Tan has worked in Hong Kong for the past 11 years and was previously Digital Head of Bates and Managing Director, Greater China at Doremus.

Tan brings a new calibre of expertise to the Tribal Worldwide Hong Kong team, complementing the strengths of Integrated Creative Directors Wilson Ang (second from left) and Timothy Li (far left). He has over 20 years of experience in digital integration, specifically portal, platform and UX expertise, as well as strategic planning and business operations, having worked with blue chip brands, including ExxonMobil, Shell, Pizza Hut, Philips, Heineken, HSBC and HP.
