YoungGlory_Main.jpgSingapore creatives have dominated the 2014/15 season of the global Young Glory competition, with two teams made up of participants from Y&R, TBWA, JWT and Ogilvy finishing in the top two places overall.

Y&R Singapore’s team of four won the top prize and the joint team from TBWA Singapore and JWT Singapore came second overall.

The 8 month-long annual awards show sees teams from around the world respond to a different brief each month, in an effort to find the globe’s most ‘creatively consistent’ emerging talent.

Standings on the leaderboard came down to the final round, with a brief from Lowe Profero Australia ECD Ashadi Hopper for Plus One – a charity initiative spearheaded by the band Arcade Fire.

This season’s winning teams in both the Student and Professional category were then flown to the C2 conference in Montreal, Canada, to present their ideas on stage in front of thousands of delegates and Arcade Fire themselves.

The TBWA & JWT Singapore team comprised: Cheryl Chu, Cynthia Subrato, Isabel Goh and Raquel Ang.

Judges this season came form agencies including Droga5 New York, 72andSunny Amsterdam, AKQA Shanghai, and DDB Worldwide’s Global CCO Amir Kassaei.

“It’s great to see young talent competing from every corner of the globe,” says Brendan Graham, Young Glory co-founder and formerly a creative at Kult in Singapore. “Australians, Swedes and North Americans have always been a force in Young Glory. But the last few years have seen teams from places like Singapore, India, Indonesia, Portugal, Brazil, Hungary and Russia really punch above their weight. Anyone, from anywhere, can win this thing.”

The Young Glory 2015/16 season begins Sept 1st.
