Eugene Cheong and Melvin Mangada to represent Asia on 2015 LIA Print, Poster and Billboard jury

Eugene Cheong_sml.jpgMelvin Mangada_sml.jpgEugene Cheong, chief creative officer at Ogilvy & Mather Asia Pacific, and Melvin Mangada, managing partner / CCO TBWA\Santiago Mangada Puno Manila, will represent Asia on the LIA Print, Poster and Billboard jury.

Heading this jury is Matt Eastwood, worldwide chief creative officer at J. Walter Thompson. Eastwood joined J. Walter Thompson as worldwide chief creative officer in July 2014. Described by Britain’s Campaign magazine as a “unicorn” in the communications industry, Eastwood has overseen some of the most innovative and recognizable creative projects in advertising today.

Matt Eastwood 2015.jpgHis career has spanned numerous agencies, specialties and countries, including Australia, the UK and US. Eastwood was a founding partner of M&C Saatchi in Australia before he went on to join DDB Australia in 2006 as national creative director and vice chairman. In 2010, Eastwood became chief creative officer of DDB New York, which, in the 2013 Gunn Report, was named the 13th most awarded agency in the world. At the same time, AdAge’s 2013 Award’s Report listed Eastwood as the 5th most awarded chief creative officer worldwide.

During his career Eastwood (right) has won numerous accolades and honors including Campaign Brief Agency of the Year, Australian Creative Hotshop, Adnews Agency of the Year, Creativity’s Agency to Watch, B&T Agency of the Year, Spikes Network of the Year, and Campaign magazine Network of the Year. He is a highly awarded creative with an international sensibility, living life as a New Yorker.

Says Eastwood: “After a re-injection of energy some years ago, LIA fast became one of the industry’s most important shows. The caliber of jurors is always beyond compare, so it’s a thrill to preside over the Print, Poster and Billboard jury. I look forward to helping curate a show that both records the best work, and inspires more of the same.”
