The Local_Singapore.jpgSingapore ad agency, The Local, has made Singapore Advertising Hall of Fame history by becoming its inaugural Rebel Agency of the Year winner.

A newly minted category for 2014, the award recognises “an agency (creative, media or digital) that has done the most disruptive work over the past year, consistently redefining the rules of the advertising industry with ideas, solutions or campaigns that were different, brave and radical”.

Pushing through with campaigns for MediaCorp, Goods of Desire, Endeavours Documentary Film Festival and The Local Shop, The Local was the clear standout winner, delivering creative solutions backed by cold hard numbers proving the campaigns’ true effectiveness in the market.

“Being Rebel Agency of the Year is a good fit for us because we’ve always done things differently. Winning this is even sweeter considering we’re just four years young. Thanks to our brave clients, we’ve been on a heart-stopping bullet train ride since we started the agency. And that momentum has helped us attract the right talent along the way,” said Kirsten Ackland, Executive Creative Director of The Local.

“From our approach to our execution, we are non-conformists. Thankfully, that’s worked in our favour. So this win is particularly meaningful for us, and especially gratifying for our clients who also chose to rebel,” said Shaun Quek, Managing Director of The Local.
