Singapore leads Asia at the shortlist stage in Health & Wellness at Cannes Lions Health

lions-healthcare.jpgAsia has scored an impressive 43 finalists at the shortlist stage in the inaugural Health & Wellness category at the first Lions Health in Cannes.

Leading the way is Singapore with 14 finalists, followed by Japan and China with 9 and 7 finalists respectively. Also reaching the shortlist stage were 4 entries from The Philippines, 2 from Thailand, South Korea, India and Hong Kong. Malaysia had 1 shortlist.

Two Singapore agencies are the top performers – Lowe Singapore with 7 shortlists and Grey Singapore with 5. Dentsu Creative x Tokyo and Y&R Beijing both had 4 finalists.

Lions Health, the new Festival and Awards for global creative excellence in healthcare communications, opened its doors for the first time to over 800 delegates from more than 50 countries.

25 jury members have convened in Cannes to judge the 1,423 entries that have been entered into Lions Health.

The Pharma jury, led by Jeremy Perrott, Global Chief Creative Officer of McCann Health, have shortlisted 66 pieces of work from an initial 517 entries.

In the Health & Wellness category, 906 entries were received and the jury, led by Kathy Delaney, Global Chief Creative Officer of Saatchi & Saatchi Wellness, have arrived at a shortlist of 142.

Both juries will now discuss and deliberate over the shortlists before choosing those worthy of being elevated to prize winning status.
