Longhi.jpgDuring April a workshop for driving the 2014 LongXi Awards forward was held at Blossom Hill, Zhouzhuang. The two day brainstorming session was attended by creative eleites Jimmy Lam, Tomaz Mok, Peter Soh and Kenny Wu, together with several grand jury members including Benson Lam, Norman Tan, Amber Liu, Ken Tao and Tif Wu, who came up with all kinds of ideas to move the LongXi Awards forward.

This year will be the 17th year of LongXi Awards, which marks an important milestone for brand LongXi. The 2014 LongXi Creative Award will be re-configured and new sub-categories added, such as Best Use of Celebrity, Craft, Direct, Interactive and Mobile Awards and the previous Catch Awards will be replaced.

Besides, the LongXi NOVA, the most unique young creative competition, Kuala Lumpur will be included as the seventh area competition. The other six regions are Hong Kong, Taiwan, East China, South China, North China and Southwest China. In each region agency teams from advertising, digital, PR, production, media and event clients are invited to enter the competition. There are two members in each team and they both must be under 30 years old. They can be a combination of copy writer and art director, account plus planning and or art director plus planning. It’s a 3-day, 2 rounds of presentation competition. In each round of presentations, the teams have less than 24 hours to come up with a creative idea to present to the panel of judges.

The awards adopt the World Cup’s quota system to determine the number of area competition winning teams go into the NOVA Final Show Down. This is fair to competitors and also makes the Final Show Down a much more interesting show.

LongXi Green Awards will target students only as a platform for post-secondary students to showcase their talents
