Portfolio Night in Singapore a huge success: Cheryl Chu from Nafa named the All Stars winner

Bates Chi & Partners hosted the ADC’s Portfolio Night last week at the National Design Centre in Singapore.

The event was sold out event and was 50% over subscribed, a first in Portfolio Night Singapore history. 100+ young creatives came from all over and schools included: Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Lasalle, Singapore Poly, Raffles Design, Miami Ad School, Chicago Ad School, Nanyang Technological University, etc. Some young creatives even travelled from the Philippines and Malaysia.

Thirty two creative directors attended and local celeb/author/radio presenter/theatre director/creative director Dr Loretta Chen hosted the event. Other VIP guests included Twitter (Christel Quek, Lawrence Georgiou), WPP (Ilona Wei), Damien Cummings from Philips, Reps from Shutterstock, NAFA, LaSalle, Singapore Poly, bloggers.

Cheryl Chu from Nafa was picked the “All Stars” winner of the best portfolio from 5 finalists. Chu wins an all expenses trip to New York City to work on a real client brief.

In line with the campaign for Portfolio Night “Adland Security”, participants had fun with the theme – sniffer dog, branded luggage tags and peanuts and a few creative directors came in the Department of Adland Security  “uniform”.
