This year, under the global theme “Because Effectiveness Is Worth Celebrating”, the HK Effie Awards continues to recognize outstanding campaigns which have been brilliantly executed and proven results in meeting challenging strategic objectives.

Advertisers value ideas that truly deliver results, hence, the jury this year is formed by eight well known marketers, combined with expertise from the creative, research, media and academic sectors, to make the judging truly all rounded in measuring marketing effectiveness. Jury members are:

  • Julie Chiu – Sales and Marketing Director, Wellcome
  • Paul Groves – Group Chief Marketing Officer , AIA Group
  • Candy Law – Marketing Controller, 7-Eleven Hong Kong & Macau
  • Judy Sun – Executive Manager, Branding & Programme Services, The Hong Kong Jockey Club
  • Danny Chan – Advertising Creative
  • Kenneth Wan – Co-Founder & Director, The Bread Digital
  • Alexandre Momma – Senior Client Service Director, Brand & Communication, TNS Hong Kong Ltd
  • Nancy Pang – Strategic Branding & Marketing Consultant, HKUSPACE

Agencies and clients may now submit entries to over 29 categories, and this year there are  two new categories – Cultural & Art and Pet Care. With the expansion of categories, this year’s EFFIE Awards will be more likely to fit in with the current market trend and encourage more creative advertising entries. “As the EFFIE grow each year, the Organizer sees the need to widen the range of the cat & brands, as well as to give them focus, to encourage the best of Hong Kong marketing to shine,” said Dave McCaughan, Chairman of the 2014 HK4As EFFIE Awards Organizing Committee.

Entry is open now until 29 April 2014. The judging will be held on 14 May, with the official announcement of the winners at a Presentation Gala on 6 June.
