Cheng, (pictured left) who began her career at XM Asia Pacific and Arc Worldwide, before joining JWT in 2010, is one of the few full-service agency chief creative officers to come from the digital marketing world.

“With technology, almost everything is possible these days. Really looking forward to being inspired by how far our creativity can push the boundaries and I am very honoured to be part of the jury of one of the most exciting categories that never fails to amaze,” said Cheng, on her Cannes appointment.

Cheng has made her mark in prestigious advertising festivals around the world including Cannes, Spikes Asia, One Show, London International, Effies, Golden Drum, Webbys, John Caples and Digital Media Awards. Last year, over 40% of JWT Singapore’s awards were for digital or mobile work, a sign that the agency has successfully embedded digital into its core offering.

In 2013 Cheng was appointed jury president for Adfest’s first Interactive and Mobile category. She continued her judging duties last year at Clio and the London International Awards.

She was named the Digital Creative Director of The Year by the IAS (Institute of Advertising Singapore) at the Singapore Advertising Hall of Fame Awards in 2011 and 2012.   Shell recently appointed Cheng as the Global ECD for its lubricants portfolio, a concurrent role she carries out of Singapore.
